Tips to avoid Ageing Skin
Lack of nutrients, quality sleep, using the wrong kind of facial products can all lead to ageing. Your skin loses its glow and develops wrinkles. The skin tends to sag and you lose self-confidence as each day passes by. Now is the time to adopt anti-ageing tips for skin so that you can look and feel beautiful for a long period of time. The skin is an organ which changes with time and you need to ensure that the care taken is in accordance to the requirement of the skin. There is no ‘one size fits all’ treatment for your skin.
Tips to avoid Ageing Skin:
- Stop ‘Harmful’ Habits:
Drinking and smoking are the most common ‘harmful’ habits. These not only affect your overall health but tend to make and feel older. You need to be aware that this smoking and drinking leads to dehydration which is definitely a big ‘No’ for the skin. The habit of smoking and drinking leads to premature wrinkles, loss of elasticity; collagen and can also cause inflammation of the skin.
- Cut down the Salt:
Salt is known to contain sodium. This sodium present in salt can suck the moisture from your skin. Ensure your intake of salt is to the minimum to ensure a healthy skin.
Exfoliation helps in retaining the condition of the skin. You can use chemical peel for exfoliation in case you lead a hectic lifestyle. Scrubs used need to be of a good quality as just ‘any’ scrub can cause more damage than good.
- Aloe vera Gel:
Aloe vera is known to benefit the skin to a large extent. The cooling effect of this gel brings down the risk of acne and pimples. This gel can also play an important role in controlling oily skin. The wrinkles ad fine lines in the skin can be brought down with this application.
Massage the gel gently onto your face after you have washed this. You can leave this on for around 10 minutes and then wash it off.
Most women tend to overlook the importance of moisturizing the skin. They concentrate on different make-up and anti-ageing products and overlook the moisturizer. A skin which is moist can look and feel better as the creases and lines are less visible.
- Drinking water:
Drinking enough and more of water is definitely beneficial to the overall health of an individual but can also work wonders for the skin. This can flush out the toxins and keep the skin looking fresh and healthy.
- Protection from the Sun:
The rays of the sun can cause a lot of damage to the skin, be it summers or winters. In case you need to go out in the sun, ensure you are well covered and also apply enough and more of sun screen.
Get enough of sleep and make sure you remove all the make-up before you retire for the night. A little effort made, can go a long way for the required skin protection.
