Ted Bundy was considered to be charismatic and charming person by his co-workers, girlfriend, member of the church and many more. But the ‘real’ Ted Bundy was a serial killer whose instincts were violent and whose intelligence helped him get away with crime multiple times.
It was in the year 1977, in the Garfield County Jail of Colarado that Ted Bundy began to lose weight inexplicably. This was his way of getting out of trouble. It was less than a year after escaping from a window of the courthouse and escaping from police custody, Bundy, once again attempted to escape and succeeded in doing so on December 30.
The second time Bundy escaped was due to the extreme weight loss as he managed to hack his way through the ceiling. Kathleen McChesney, a detective, says, that Ted Bundy managed to climb on books and lift himself up to the ceiling. He, then, crawled through the ceiling area into one of the jailer’s apartment which was above the prison cell. He walked out of the front door wearing some of the jailer’s clothing.
Before this escape, Ted Bundy had planned on losing enough weight to be able to crawl out from the ceiling area. This he could manage as he had stopped eating breakfast and pretended to be asleep during this time.
Zac Efron, who plays the role of ted Bundy in ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’, lost 6 kilograms for this role by adapting to a vegan diet and changing the workout routine. He admits to eating a diet which was totally plant-based and doing a lot of cardio. Zac Efron rode the stationery bike for an hour every day. He trimmed down a lot due to the control on his diet. Efron admits that losing the 13 pounds to play Ted Bundy was a transformation of life-style.
Zac Efron says he drank a lot of ‘funky stuff’ which included egg protein shakes for pumping up the intake of proteins. Efron also consumed smoothies which contain kale, spinach, raspberries, blueberries, banana and avocado for the requirement of healthy fats along with chia seeds, almond milk and honey. Efron is strict about his intake of veggies and greens and other foods which are ‘alive’ sans any preservatives.
For that apt loss of weight what is required is a strict control over the diet and working out regularly.
